We have a 2017, 26BH, and upgraded the 12v battery to a pair of 6v batteries. From everything I've read and learned about batteries, I've concluded that a pair of 6v's makes sense if you plan to do any overnights off the grid. I won't try to explain why here....take way to long...but would encourage you to research it and see if you reach the same conclusion.
I thought the battery support on the 26BH looked a little wimpy for carrying a pair of 6v batteries, so I had some heavier angle iron welded to the top of the A frame, directly over the existing support. A local fabrication shop did it for me while I waited and only charged $45.00 for the angle iron and the welding. I did the priming and painting. VERY pleased with the result.
