Unhappy battery wiring schematic

I have a 2008 Jayco Jay Flight 26bh and my batteries don't seem to be charging anymore from the converter. I installed some solar panels and do fine on sunny days, however with the extended cloud cover we have had this year I have had to depend on shore power. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be charging. I am wondering if maybe I had reconnected some wires backwards when I upgraded the solar panel? Can anybody tell be what wires go where and/or direct me where to get the battery wiring schematics. I have three 110 ah batteries and have disconnected 2 of them while I try to diagnose this problem. Tomorrow I intend to switch to one of the other batteries to see if it is a battery problem.

Well, if you had reversed the wiring, there would be a blown fuse, or sparks would fly. One way to test the converter output.....when connected to shore power, disconnect at the battery and isolate your solar panel. Then with a voltmeter, test the voltage where the batteries would connect. Test the voltage there for polarity and voltage level. You should see the converter deliver 12.5 volts up to 14.5 volts there. The white wire at the battery is the negative and will connect to the frame near there. If you still would like a wiring diagram you may contact Jayco, but others here have said the wiring diagram is usually not available.

Jayco sent me the AC and DC schematics for my 17z. I don't remember if I called them or went through their website.

As far as the charging circuit is concerned, David472's suggestions will provide that.

I've attempted to contact Jayco a few times through the website / email. Everytime it went completely unanswered. Best bet would be to call them, in my experience.

I sent my request on the Jayco web site from the contact us page. I received all electric and plumbing diagrams in 2 days.

I took a picture of our dual battery setup before removing everything when we were putting the TT in storage. Does this help?

Talking Thanks for the replies

Thanks for the replies. I have rewired my batteries to eliminate a battery that wasn't holding a charge at all. The other two are nothing to brag about though. The bad battery is the newest and the other two were purchased together. As I have come to understand it, all the batteries should have been the same. It appears that the newest battery of a group will be worked harder than the rest. With that understood now, the converter still doesn't seem to be charging.

cm11599ps, thanks for the picture. It helped a lot! I have included a picture of my current setup.

There is the original wires, the wires for the solar panels, and the wires for a 400 watt inverter I installed to run my CPAP.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, I am leaving for warmer weather next week and would like to install a second battery. Is it as simple as the series hook up in the picture, hot to hot, ground to ground, using 8 or 10 gauge wire?

Rustic Eagle hit it perfect, but I had to share this video as well - from my favorite show on TV, Gearz. It's car-oriented, not trailer oriented, but a great show anyhow:
