Best location for convex mirror?

Thanks to the help on the forum, I got the CIPA mirrors for my 2008 Suburban. I now have a question: I would like to add small stick on convex mirrors on for greater visibility, but I'm not sure where the best place to add them is. Would it be on the original mirror or on the CIPA extension, which is quite a bit smaller?
Or would I find the convex mirror just might add more confusion to what I'm seeing?

Thanks
Grant

I run the convex mirror on my OE mirror.

Old school i guess but i put them on all my trucks.

when you put the CIPA's on it makes for a lot of mirrors and you have to concentrate when your looking in them . They do help!

Convex mirror on CIPA

I tried a number of different spots and ended up putting the convex on the upper/inner corner of the CIPA. I haven't towed with it yet, but I think it should give me most of the info I need from the CIPA with just a quick glance, ie, nothing in the convex, nothing there.

I'd put them on the vehicle's mirrors so that they are always there, whether you are towing or not.
