We have the same, only we installed ours. We traveled this way for three years. The bikes take a beating with bugs and rock chips. We also did not like the added awkwardness the front mount created in traffic and parking maneuvers. We just installed the Jack It on the TT tongue. We'll see how it goes.

Here is our new Jack It. It is took some doing to find the right adjustments of the supports for each bike, and the rear bike is pretty hard to get up and on without hitting the TT cap and banging the the bike around. DW has to stand on a ladder while I steady the heavier end of the bike. We are going to get collapsible pedals which will help some with the tight fit and precarious maneuvering that racking them requires. We have read good things about the road stability of this unit, but we shall see. We bought our rack for $150. It is much less expensive than our Kuat Sherpa, which is an impressive well-made rack. We'll use the Kuat for our non-TT excursions.

Member blwright was asking me in a pm about bike racks on my rig. Since I can't post pics in a pm, I'll make a post and make you all look at my dirty camper!
This was a option on the 2011 Eagles. I am not sure if it is still an option as it was not very popular due to no method of supporting the bikes. I think I can overcome any obstacle so I have used them for years before I found out that it couldn't be done.
1st is stowed, 2nd is extended.

I built a custom rack system using 80/20 aluminum extrusion. It is mounted through the top of the rails, and not the clamp style. This way I can use my tonneau cover, toolbox, and ladder rack in the stake pockets.

Nice! Do those arms swing up to allow you to open the tonneau, unimpeded?

Very nice! I bet that was a heck of a lot cheaper than buying all the parts through Thule like I did.

I carry 5 bikes and one is a 3 wheel style for my Autistic son. I used to store them inside the trailer but this was a big pia and I had to take the 3 wheel bike apart to get it inside. I made one of those racks that fit in the bed of the truck out of pvc. It is great.

I built enough "height" using the vertical risers so that I can roll the tonneau cover with the racks on.
They are attached to the tracks on the bed rails using SS wing nuts, so if I need full bed use (like last weekend when I had full pallets forklifted on...), the racks just slide right off.
Pricing.... I wouldn't be surprised if this custom setup was similar in price to a full Thule setup. The materials alone was around $380.
The good thing, though... I used the heavy duty 1.5" stock, so my rack is extremely overbuilt. To the point where I could use it for lumber and other cargo.

RV bumper supports
Ive heard good things about safety struts. I'm ordering a pair and plan to use them to haul 2 adult bikes and 2 childrens bikes. They are load tested to 400lbs, 1 foot off of the bumper with repetitive bumping. This seems like it would work great and the product has good reviews.

Cheiden I have the mount-n-lock ones. Works great. I also got the over and under hitch, cost me about 99.00. delivered.

Great to know they work. I was looking for a solution for our bike rack and this looks perfect. Thanks.

Checkout Pipeline racks http://www.pipelineracks.com. We just purchased their 5 bike rack and really like it. Similar to the pvc racks. It also fits under the tonneau cover.
