black tank handle length 29bhs

Quick question on my 2011 29bhs. My black tank handle is about 6 inches longer than my gray tank handle. It stick out from underneath the trailer. Not really any issue but I was wondering if other trailers specifically the same model are the same.

Thanks

My 26BH is like that too. Why? I don't know.

Thanks. Sometimes I get a small amount of leakage when removing the cap when arriving at my destination. I wanted to make sure the handle was not an issue. Glad to know it is normal. Thanks for the quick feedback!

Is it leaking black water? If so the black water valve may be faulty. That`s one valve you do not want to leak!

I have the same issue - I have a small amount of grey that always seems to be there in I open my valve - maybe a cub or less. Maybe it is just the water clinging to inside of the pipes that works it way down.

Yep, mine sticks out about 6" longer than my gray water handle on my 31 BHDS. When I empty my black tank and push the handle back I have to tap it very lightly with a hammer to get it to seat.

I have a Eagle 322FKS and it is the same way. However the handle is threaded and can be turned to make it shorter, I know this because mine pulled OFF, however just screwed it back on and found it could move inward. Using a valve lube in the holding tank helps the valve open easy.
