Brand new water heater not working

I have a brand new 264BHW, picked up in May, used Mother's day weekend for the first time. The water heater worked just fine. Arrived at a the campsite yesterday afternoon for a small vacation, and water heater will not egnite at all. It will try 3 times then lock out. I tried to manually do it and it will egnite for about10 second, and the gas cuts off. Then it tries again until 3 times. Gave up and just took cold showers.
All the manuals talk about manually lighting a pilot light, and a knob to turn. There are no knobs to turn to do a manual lighting.
Any help that might save the vacation a Little?

I will add, that I'm at the beach, very humid, so didn't know if that could be a factor or not.

Thanks

If your little red DSI FLT light is on, You may be having the same problem I am having. I posted earlier but no one ever responded to it.

A problem we have in New England is spiders. They seem to love making homes in the water heater. That would be one thing I would check. I know in our older trailers there was a knob to turn to a pilot position and then push in to ignite the pilot, not sure if they use that now with the piezo electric starters. Just a couple of ideas....

When this happens it is usually because you had the propane shut off for a while so first light the stove top this may also take a few tries then again try the hotwater heater. after it tries 3 times and shuts off manually shut it off and try turning it on again you may need to turn the water heater on and off a few times .. of course as stated above it may also be spiders but I always go for the easiest fix first.

Yes that does sound like the same. The little red light goes on 3 times while it tries (on mine it does anyway). I can here it click all 3 times, but never can see a spark. I know gas is there because if I put a lighter there, it does ignite, just won't stay on. The gas cuts off and then it tries again.

Still no luck

Well have tried taking the igniter fuse out of the picture, no luck. The stove gas ran quite a bit, so gas is flowing. Looked for spiders, don't see any, but will try compressed air just in case.

Thanks for the ideas
