Can't believe it!!!

This weekend I went out to a campground near a public hunting ground I often hunt at. I was alone in the area but returned from an evening hunt to find this!!!!

It's a broadhead stuck in the rear storage door. When I got it out the hole mostly sealed itself but obviously is still a hole. Can I patch this or are there replacement doors?

Not a hunter so I have no idea what I'm seeing in the pic, but are you saying it's a bullet of sorts? If so, wow. That could have killed someone. Not a place I'd return to if people are that irresponsible.

Glad it didn't hit a deer or other animal. That could be a slow death.

Ha, it's not a bullet. It's the pointy end of an arrow. Is there a specific type of patch? And I suspect this wasn't an accident. Consider it southern Oklahoma vandalism.

Glad it was the cargo hold door and not somewhere else. You should be able to get a new hatch. A patch if not Doon right will look like a patch. Could cover it up with a sticker.

Any auto store will have fiberglass repair kits that will make a perfect patch (even if the surface isn't fiberglass!). But, the real challenge will be finding paint to match. It took me a long time to find something to match when I had to patch a hole in mine. And no, Jayco apparently does not share color information with anyone! I tried, both via my dealer, and by calling direct.

I'd find me a cool sticker to put over it. Or, I guess you could replace the door if it bothers you.

They probably just stuck it in there. If it had been fired from a bow, it would have probably gone right through that panel. Kids and their vandalism!

Nobody to blame but yourself. Obviously you left your air antenna up and the guy thought he had an albino buck.

I talked to Jayco, they don't sell direct. Called a dealer and the door is $115 + $20 to ship. Not too bad. I think I'll just patch it and put a sticker there for now though. So thankful it didn't hit the aluminium skin.

Just a thought. Take the door off and take it to a place that specializes in auto body paint. See if they can match it. There's a place around here that will do that, and even put it in a spray can for you. Then patch it and repaint.

A GOOD autobody shop will have a paint reader.. they put it on several areas get a paint code, that takes into account fade, mix it a spray it and it will look like new

Any chance it was a distant shot that missed and not intentional? DA found his missed buck (you trailer) and retrieved the arrow? Definitely a repair it. Fill & seal, paint to match. Paint reader would work but not sure how many $$ they would charge to paint. I'd go to some place sells auto touch up paint and find a close color it's a small area.

Redneck damage, redneck fix:
Pull the door off. Replace with a piece of plywood.
Don't forget to protect the new door with a double layer of duct tape.
