Cargo/bike carrier option from Jayco

I posted this in the mod forum but didn't get a response. I have the Jayco optional bike/cargo carrier on my TT. Since it is stored almost 300 miles away, I thought perhaps I could utilize the cargo carrier for storage. Camp chairs, beach chairs, outdoor mats etc. I thought perhaps like a patio box or something. I just left Lowes and they have a nice Lifetime deck box that is 60Lx24Wx25H and weighs 56 pounds. It is 130 gallon and appears very sturdy and water tight. Has a nice place for a lock too. I didn't buy it because I would hate to haul it 300 miles and not fit. If someone who has this option would be kind enough to measure the inside dimensions of the carrier and get back to me, it would be greatly appreciated.
