Cat Scale weight-f150 and 26BH

Today I went to Cat scale to weight the truck and the trailer.
The truck and the trailer were fully loaded for two weeks of camping with full tank of fresh water.

First weight- Truck alone
Front axle 3593 lb

Rear axle 3218lb

GVW 6812lb


Next is with WDH and trailer

Front axle 3328lb
Rear axle 3746lb
Traler axle 4761lb
GW 12039lb
I think I'm over by 90lb on my rear axle. How can i I adjust the weight from the rear axle to front axle?

I dont no what type of WDH you have but you should be able to tilt the ball back a notch or by adding a washer.

Tilting the hitch (adding a washer) is a great place to start, but it looks like you need to get more weight on that front axle than a simple added washer will afford. You may have to add a washer or two along with bringing your spring bars up a notch or two. Of course, all this depends on what kind of hitch you have...

Did you go thorough the complete setup on your WDH? Measuring the fenders, checking the trailer for level...? In my limited experience, strictly following the setup instructions for the WDH has gotten me VERY close to optimum setup every time.

You must have a lot of stuff or people in your truck. My truck rear axle empty is only #2440. Anything you can take out? What is your GRWR?

Truck without trailer = 6812
Truck with trailer = 7074

7074-6812= 262lbs of tongue weight!!!??

I realize WD is engaged but that doesn't seem right.

5227 is the trailer weight and it should have around 700lbs of tongue weight.

With WD engaged you should still show around 600lbs or so of tongue weight right?

4365 is the published dry weight which should be around 4900 as delivered. Add all your stuff for two weeks of camping and 400lbs?? of water and you should be around 6000lbs if not over that. Your trailer weight sounds low.

And your rear axle should be rated for 3850lbs at least. What is the year and specs for your truck?

What scale did you weigh in at? I am from Calgary too.

I have a Reese wdh,but what washer you talking about? There is washer on there that has numbers on it.

It is just me,wife and 2 boys age 8 and 5, but i do have a bedslid in back of the truck.

I went to flying j cat scale. The truck is 2006 f150 with tow package.
Rear Axel is rated 3850.
