Caulking shower floor joint

We're picking up our 26 RLS tomorrow and as usual many questions have already come up. Most we have found answers for but one that concerns me is the lack of caulking at the base of the shower. In the Jayco booklet it shows the wide gap just above the shower floor. Another TT, a couple of years older, that I've seen also as the uncaulked area.

Is this acceptable?

I asked the same question. Jayo told my dealer that it is not intended to be caulked. Leave it open for water to drain out. Over a year and it has not caused any leaks which was my original concern.
