Changing colors for the LED strip on awning?

New member here...and first time RV owner

Anyway, can anyone give me some guidance on how to change the outdoor LED strip on the awning? I searched but didn't see the info I'm looking for. We want a warm white instead of the stock bright white.

Ebay is full of these LED strips but not sure what electrical connection end should be. Or will I need to cut/splice/shrink wrap. The rv is an hour away so I can't investigate right now.

Its a Jay Flight 38BHDS model.

Thanks in advance.

What you need is a dimmer. It will still be white, but just won't be as bright. We run ours at 25% most of the time and it is plenty bright. Search on here for LED dimmer.

I bought a set of color changing / dimmable LED lights on Amazon. Just pulled the super bright white lights out of the track, wired in the control box (Imounted mind in the hollow of the awning arm) and that was it. Very easy swap. DW loves the color change feature and I love not sitting outside under stadium lighting...

My current stock light is run off a switch in the slides/lights/tanks panel box. I assume any "controller" is already built in. I'm thinking just cutting & soldering the wires will be the easy way to swap out
