Choosing Between Two Jaycos
I am looking at a 2012 Jayco 330RLTS and a 2012 Jayco Eagle 330RLTS. I noticed that the Jayco Eagle has awnings over the slides and has a fiberglass shell. It also has dual pane glass and some better insulation in the walls, etc. They look about identical inside. Is it worth an extra $6000.00 to go with the Jayco Eagle? Any input would be appreciated!

Depends on your usage pattern. If you are using it on a frequent basis I would say yes, if only once or twice a year no. However it will have a better resale/trade-in value down the road.

Well, food for thought. If it has three slides, as the name implies, and has a topper over each, that's roughly $1200 worth of toppers assuming they are in good condition.
Fiberglass side walls, while not an option necessarily, if I were to put their "value" in cost, or what I personally consider them to be worth of buying as an option, probably $1500. Just purely my opinion.
Dual pane windows are about $900-$1000 I think on a trailer that size. Very good investment if you do a lot of cold weather camping. Make sure they are in good shape and no windows have leaks.
And as Grunpy said, they hold resale. So, I'm my crazy mind, option about total about $3600-$3800 worth of "upgrades" plus the better resale value, I think they are pretty equivalently priced. If I planned on using it a lot, I'd go with the Eagle. And a couple of weekends a summer, I'd go with the Jay Flight, I assume it it.
Are you sure there are any not other differences too? Elec jacks/wheels/enclosed underbelly/tank size/fridge and water heated size/counter top material/roof ladder/spare tire etc. The Eagles are usually fully loaded and the little things add up.
Just depends what it's all worth to you.

I think the Eagle line is a step up from the Jayflight line. Your windows are higher quality, your fiberglass siding is higher quality, it likely has more options.
At the end of the day, it all depends what those things are worth to YOU.
If you camp in super cold or super hot conditions, double pane windows are nice.
If you like fiberglass siding, the Eagle is vacuum bonded on all sides, whereas the Jayflight isn't.
If you like the upgrades from the Jayflight to the Eagle, its worth it. If that stuff doesn't matter to you I would save the $6 grand and spend that money CAMPING!!!
I will venture a guess that whichever camper you chose, you will be happy and hopefully have fun in it!

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Your responses were helpful. I haven't actually looked at a Jayco Eagle but it seems that there are quite a few upgrades from the Jayco Flight. I am leaning toward the Eagle, but the one that is for sale had smokers for owners. So I will probably have to get the ozonator out and the TSP for the walls. Any other suggestions for removing smoke?

JMHO... The smoking info changes it for me. If they smoked inside you will never completely remove the smell. Definetly now not worth 6k more, and personally I'd get the Jay Flight if you were happy with it. The 6k in my opinion would have been worth if for the upgrades if everything else was equal. But it's not, and smoking inside and resale value donor mix. Everyones tolerance for the smell is different but no way for me. I don't mind sitting in a bar with smoke, but not in my personal living space. Good luck.

Not a bad idea, however if you do that make sure you only select true options, nothing that came standard originally. All the time you see NADA reports and folks select as options items that came standard on a particular model. It can have a dramatic affect of the always questionable accuracy of NADA.

I am "sensitive" to cig smoke so I would pass on the eagle.. otherwise it would be my preferred one to buy.. IF the smoke does not bother you try to get him down the 6000.

One other thing to consider if you decide to go with the Eagle 330RLTS. The tongue weight will be pushing 1500lbs if not more. The published TW for my "12 320RLDS was 1225, loaded I'm just under 1400lbs. Make sure you have enough truck.

I have seen dealers put standard equipment as options on their sale ads. If you can get a copy of the original brochures they will list equipment that is standard and optional.
