I went looking and was surprised NOT to find Spic-n-span at our local Home Depot. I'll look at the grocery store later, but I may have to use an alternative... I have to get it washed this week, so I need to find it today or tomorrow...

Okay, so it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to find any of the "recommended" cleaner for my roof (spic 'n span or Top Job according to Alpha Systems website). Any suggestions on alternatives? If I were to do it right this minute, I would just use Dawn. I have a TON of it as I use it for all sorts of other cleaning, and I would definitely classify it as a "mild" soap, as recommended by the manufacturer.

Thoughts?

I've used Dawn for years on my TT roof(s), works fine for me.

Thanks Bob! That makes me feel A LOT better about using it for mine.

Any thoughts about Oxy Clean? We use it in our laundry, and I think I would consider it a "mild detergent"...?

Never used Oxy Clean on the TT, Dawn seemed to clean up the majority of the film and nasty stuff. I was always careful when cleaning the rubber roofing material, didn't want to scrub to hard....,after all it's just the roof

I use Meguires Deep Crystal Car Wash soap on both the roof and side walls. From everything I can tell there is no Petroleum Distillates in it so its safe for the roof. And I like the fact it doesn't strip the wax and spend hours trying to get on on a couple times a year. I beleive dish soap, dawn included, will strip the wax off your sidewalls.
