Cord for blinds
I have a 26BH with just the simple pleated shades. Last summer, one of the cords snapped on me, and I've put off getting around to fixing it.
Now I want to fix it as part of getting everything up and running for the season. BUT... I can't find a source for the cording I need. Does anyone happen to know the specs on it and whether I can get this stuff at a big box store or a regular blinds store, or will I have to special order it from Jayco?
Thanks,
Bruce

It is a warranty item if less than 2 years.

Most places that sell RV things probably have the cord. The dealer will have it for sure.

We have a 2011 26BH that had 3 blind strings break last year and we are very careful putting the blinds up and down, the dealer had to special order the string. We ended up removing all of the original blinds and installing standard mini blinds and are much happier.

I have seen a lot of people that have opted for mini blinds in their trailers. My wife likes the day night shades and I prefer the blinds. She always wins.

Ours came with D/N. When they break and are out of warranty they are gone and replaced with blinds or something easier to maintain and raise and lower.

The orifinal blinds that come on the Jaycos are notoriusly bad. We have a 2011 and they are replacing one on warranty, my buddy has a 2011 also, and two need replacing on his.

My friend has made a career of blind sales, installation, and repair. He repairs quite a few and buys the cord by the spool. The tension comes way to tight from the factory which leads to the cord or the stays breaking.

This place is where I got some blind cord; they have many colors. Replacing a broken cord is easy.
