Critter in my Jayco!
Husband and I went to the trailer this weekend. I have been reading up on winterizing since we usually take the trailer in but this time we want to do it ourselves.I was looking for the fresh water drain plug and when I couldn't find it I went in the trailer to look at the plumbing under the kitchen sink. That's when I saw many pinecones and stuffing...behind the water heater...spent the next few hours stuffing steel wool in any crack we could find...so when ya go to winterize your Jayco look under the kitchen sink at the back-it's a very good place for critters!

We are taking our TT out one more time in Nov, then it is the steel wool stuffing time. I also heard that scented laundry drying sheets will deter critters also. I plan to put them in the kitchen drawers and maybe wrap them around the steel wool. If it doesn't work, the TT will smell extra good. lol

Lol. OK, I'd use some spray foam to seal up any possible points of entry once you know theres nothing left inside.

When we bought our TT the person doing the delivery/training said to use shaved Irish Spring bar soap. That was his recommendation.

We were wondering what to do to avoid critters getting into our pop up. Being first timers we did buy some cut to size air filters for the outside openings to keep in place until we go out. The material is breathable yet will stop anything trying to crawl through the door vents. Where else to check? I thought the bottom of the Jayco was sealed. What little holes to look for underneath the pop up?

The best thing to do is get under your PUP and look around, because no two underbelly's are the same even with the identical model. Have a can of spray sealer foam on hand.

My recollection is a mouse can squeeze through a hole the diameter of a No. 2 pencil.
I for one have used original Bounce scented sheets for six years. It's working for me, or I've been lucky.

It's not cheap, but buy Fresh Cab at Tractor Supply, Menards, or online.

Yes, I love the 'Fresh Cab' too! I have an intolerance to smells and this doesn't affect me.
