Detailed Setup Checklist
I know there are many checklist already available, this is just the one I am using right now. Being a Newbie, I don't take anything for granted.
1. Pull into Site with Spotter if possible
2. Make sure no obstructions in way of Slide out
3. Go to power box and turn off breaker switch
4. Plug in Surge Protector
5. Flip breaker switch on and check power
6. Flip breaker off again after checking
7. Level side to side (I have Anderson Levelers!)
8. Chock all tires, CHOCK, CHOCK, CHOCK
9. Place wood block or pads under jack stand
10. Raise Jack high enough to take off WDH bars
11. Remove bars
12. Lower Jack back down, and raise leg off ground
13. Decide how much elevation you will need for front to back leveling
14. Place appropriate pads/blocks under jack
15. Unhook safety chains/emergency brake line/power cord to truck
16. unhook hitch lock lever when pressure is released enough on ball
17. Raise jack to release ball
18. Pull truck forward
19. Lower/raise jack to level trailer front to back
20. Once level, put X-Chocks on tires
21. Lower stabilizer jacks with appropriate blocking underneath them
22. plug in power cord to surge protector
23. Flip breaker on box and you should have power
24. Take WDH off truck and store
25. Put Slide out
25. FINISHED!!!!
I am a total Newb, and these are all things I have learned from the great people on this site. I know some put out Slide before leveling side to side, I just don't. I can't say enough good things about the Anderson Levelers.
Any observations and added tips would be greatly appreciated....I can add things!
