Dexter axle question

Just how flexible are the Dexter axels?!? Really?!? It seems every time I back my TT into my single car driveway, they bend awkwardly. I always think they're about to snap. Keep in mind my trailer is 33 foot long. I have to almost jackknife it just to back it into my driveway. I do pull forward a little to ease the tension on the trailer wheels and finish backing it in.
Just curious about the flexibility. Thanks.

I think it's more of the tires flexing than the axle bending.

It seems that the front wheel is bent out while the rear wheel is bent in until I can align it up again by pulling forward. "Toe in" and "toe out" if I used that correctly.

I don't know about the "toe in" thing but when I back my 5er up like that it looks like the tires are about to peel right off the wheels...but they don't.

I have to crank mine around pretty hard when we load/unload at our townhouse neighborhood (turn around in a parking circle). The equalizer/spring/shackle setup, as well as the sidewalls, are made to provide that movement - the axles aren't flexing badly like it appears. However, because I do this every time, I plan to upgrade the shackles with a heavy duty kit and wet bolts...

It looks worse than it really is, especially with the wide stance axles on the WH. I too have to crank around pretty hard in my driveway, and while the "lean" isn't as noticeable with the Eagle as it was with the WH, it's definitely still there. Always ease the tension a bit once you're in position and you'll be fine.
