Dinette Removal

Second owner of 2013 Jay Flight 22FB.
Just completed a nine week, 4700 mile trek through the south. Enjoyed every minute and all worked flawlessly.

Never got two-foot-itis and found the unit to be highly livable. However, for evening relaxation and TV viewing, the short settee was a bit uncomfortable and tight for the two of us.

Thus, contemplating removal of the dinette and using that space for two small recliners or such (if I can find appropriate furniture for the available space). My question:

Both dinette seats are secured to the floor and the trailer sidewall. So, wondering if there will be a structural weakening if I remove them?

Also, is there a source for modest sized RV furniture?

Flexsteel is one company that comes to mind. Don't know what structural support the dinette provides. I would hope that the trailer is not dependent on the furniture but I really don't know that for sure.

We owned a 2011 22FB for a couple of years and it was a great little trailer. The dinette was screwed in just to keep it from moving around and even then, we had a bit of a problem with one of the seat backs coming loose while traveling. You should be fine taking it out.
