I have a jayco jay flight rks 2011 what is the correct way to winterize it? Do you close the the low point drains when you add the rv anti freeze? Thank you for your time and advice

Close them, no reason to leave them open your system is safe with RV Anti Freeze. You also don't want insect crawling up the line.

If you don`t close them when adding antifreeze to the system you will just pump out your antifreeze on the ground. I did that one time by accident, forgot to close them in the back and lost about a half gallon before I realized what was up.

There is no reason to touch your low point valves if you are using RV antifreeze. Leave them closed, bypass your water heater, divert your water pump so that the aux. suction hose will draw in your antifreeze. Pump till all valves are running pink. Takes less then 2 gallons of product. After you learn where all the valves are, the whole process might take 10 minutes. I have never even tried to identify my low point valves in all the years that we have RVed. PS.. Don't forget your outside shower if so equipped!!

I open the low point drains to get any remaining water out. It will also assist in draining the higher points in the plumbing system. After water stops coming out I close them and add the antifreeze.

I guess we have a misunderstanding. I was referring to the water lines and not the fresh water tanks when talking about low points. We open the fresh water valves on the tank and leave them open for a day at the end of the season. The low drain points in the line are never touched.

I always crack open the low point drains for a couple of seconds while the antifreeze is being sucked up to make sure there is pink stuff getting to that point, it also pushes out any water or air in the system.

Good point. That will ensure the antifreeze is throughout the system.
