Door handle lock issue, paddle type

Tried to lock up paddle, flapper, latch on outside of camper today. it moved about a quarter turn and locked up. Now won't lock or unlock. Key doesn't seem to go in all the way. I had the lock mechanism completely apart but there doesn't seem to be any access to get at that lock to repair or remove it.

Sprayed it with oil to no avail.

Suggestions? working on a 2013 28DSBH

After looking at this, I think someone has had this apart already, it's missing the support for the deadbolt and there were grease marks all over the back side of the metal cover. I'll most likely just order a replacement lock and be done.

The exact same thing happened to me, ended up having to replace the lock mechanism...well the dealership did...I was still under warranty

I guess I can't complain, first real issue on a used camper
