Door Lock

I had asked a while back if anyone had changed the door lock on their trailer , since we all have the same keys . When my copy of Trailer Life came today I saw an article on RVLock , it has a key fob and a key to get in . Has anyone else tried them . Here is the web sight www.rvlock.com let me know what you think ,

At $239.99 per door and $19.95 for extra fobs it is too much for me.

NO we dont all have the same keys... The little handle lock is keyed so the dealers master key will open it but the dead bolt is not.. the one that is all keyed the same is the compartment keys (CH751) I changed mine the day I took possession of the RV.

Too much for us, but we still are procastinating on getting an alarm that will still work with Breezi in the TT!

There are a few reasons why I would not purchase that remote locking system:
1) Price
2) Battery operated locks. Batteries die and you would still need to carry a key.
3) I already have a remote for the truck alarm/starter system. I do not need to carry another remote for the door lock on the trailer.
4) I usually stay within the area of the trailer, so I am not too concerned about someone breaking in my trailer. If they want something bad enough, they will get it anyway and damage my trailer and the repair cost would be more than what they took out of the trailer.

Healthi - PM me for info on an alarm that will work with a pet inside. The simple answer is:
Do not get one that has a proximity/motion sensor (movement inside sets off the alarm. Normally an infrared sensor)
If you get one that has a "Shock Sensor", it should be set at a point where it would not be set off with a pet jumping off the bed or running around inside, OR do not install the "Shock Sensor".
