Draining fresh water tanks for winter

Where I park my Jayco, it is slightly lower front to back due to the configuration of the property. My jack is all the way in the up position and it is still not quite level. There is a little water towards the front of the tanks that won't drain. Should I be concerned there is a small amount of water left in the tank during the winter months. I live in snow country. Thanks for any input.

If you winterize your trailer when you pump antifreeze thru your pipes some will go down your drains and then I always pour more down drains so you will have antifreeze in your tanks as well. I worry more about the pipes than I do about tanks.

A small amount of water in your tanks will not hurt anything. There is plenty of room for the water to expand in the tank.

Agree. The main reason to not let water freeze in your system is to prevent expansion in restricted places, like pipes, with the possibility of bursting them. Small amounts of water in a large area like tanks will not hurt a thing, unless it gets down into a pipe or valve where it cannot expand. When I drain, I leave the valve open for a day or two to make sure that all the water that can reach the drain hole is gone, and then close the valve.

You can put blocks under the jack to get additional height, would recommend adding rv antifreeze to the water lines and draining the hot water tank
