Driveway camping, post pic here

Thought I had to work this weekend, so we didn't book a site anywhere. Ended up not having to work. In the process of adding to my driveway so we said lets try it out. Well we had a huge campsite, private pool and our own play area. Just uncovered it and un winterized and washed her up. Ended up being a GREAT weekend. Lets see some more pictures of your driveway or back yard campsite.

Here's our new 2016 Jay Flight 26BH in the driveway. We did 5 camp driveway weekends and two trips so far with it since we brought it home back in November.

The first pic has the Coleman pop-up that the Jayco replaced. We just sold the pop-up last week.

I gotta see if I can find the picture of us camping for a night at a truck stop on way to NC that was crazy all these big trucks parked around us. Never put out the slides.

It has been raining for weeks in Texas, so I decided to open the awning and grab a bourbon with my dogs.

I don't have much room in my driveway to do actual camping. It's been home for a week. I'm getting the side yard on the other side of the house prepared to park it. There will be more space there.

Our 2016 23RB parked in the side yard. We've slept in it a few nights since getting it and our first available vacation time is in two weeks, so we're looking forward to actually sleeping in it somewhere besides our backyard!

We keep our 195RB Baja in the back yard. It's nice to put a couple chairs out under the awning in the evening and fire up the portable fire pit. I also open the windows and turn up the radio while working outside - like this weekend where the 2 cords of wood piled behind it need to get stacked in the wood shed. I currently have a dedicated 20amp circuit for this and have an upgrade to a 30amp planned for later this summer.

Yes it is. I built it about 13 years ago as a tool shed. The initial solar was added shortly after as a project I did with my youngest daughter who was about 14 at the time. We used it to charge all the various battery-powered tools plus run things like the hedge trimmer and weed whacker. It has 12v interior and timed exterior lighting plus a 12v temperature-controlled attic fan. It's grown over the years to 460watts of panels and a 3000watt inverter. About 3 years ago I converted it to a cattery where we have 2 of our current 7 feral rescue cats living.

We live in an older development with larger lots - ours is just over 1/3 of an acre and at the end of a dead-end road. The back of our lot is up against a pretty good sized and somewhat overgrown green belt. Unless you go around back you don't know it's there. We don't let any of our cats roam free due to coyotes that occasionally traverse the green belt moving from point A to point B.

Here's a shot of the 2 residents lounging....

Our permanent set up at home. 30 amp service plus water. Have a separate hookup out back with sewer as well for hunting season. Even satellite hookup.

Winter time hate shoveling the long driveway but summertime I am sure glad it is long enough to park our RV and get to play in it. Even have 50 amp service out there for it!
