I am curious on this. I have looked at mine, and unless its above the the thermal package undercoating, I don't think my large dining room/couch slide has any sort of a manual crank attachment. Dropping the undercoating is definitely NOT something you want to have to do at the camping spot.
My smaller slide is a schwintek style slide, from what I have read the only way to manually slide those (with no electricity) is to remove the motors and push it by hand, and you then have to reseat the motor or secure the slide in with wood blocks so it doesn't fly out on the first corner. There is a manual electrical operation at the computer controller if the 2 sides get out of sync, but it still requires power.
I am dreading the day either one of these slides decides not to go out, or worse IN when at a campground. I was surprised they don't seem to have an easy manual option.
