Eagle 316RKS kitchen grey water valve

On our '13 316RKS, the grey water drain is at the hub fixture at the black water location hub assembly. In freezing weather and traveling, if the long pipe from the grey water tank is full, I think it would freeze. Does it make sense to add another drain valve at the location where the pipe exits the underbelly? Has anyone done this before?

Hi IdahoDave,

I had a similar question on my '13 25RKS and since I have been full-timing in it this winter I decided to add heat tape and insulation to that long run of exposed pipe. Not sure what the factory could have done but it seems like leaving that long run exposed is a risk in freezing temps. If you are using your trailer in the winter I believe that you should at least add insulation.

Tks for that. Think I will add the valve at the bottom where the pipe exits the tank. Don't want to freeze when we travel south next December.
