Educate me

Had a light burn out on 06 jay flight 31bhds - permanently parked. Bulb had 921 on it - LED?

Ordered 4 921 replacements on Ebay for 19 bucks. Just received 40 bulbs total - looking much smaller, and maybe Halogen? These bulbs sent me are for cars/trucks - maybe ??

921 is not LED. It is a "wedge base" bulb, and will work where ever that base is required. If you have a 921 led replacement bulb, it will be a little hard to install, plus if it does not light, you prob have it inserted upside down. Car/truck/rv same.

The base is wedge shaped - is that Halogen? Must be what I have in there now. Why would they send me FORTY bulbs when I only ordered FOUR for $19? The replacement bulbs they sent do not have 921 on it - they are VERY small and have 12V16W as their only markings.

The low cost leds come 10 to a pkg. It would seem they sent you four packages of 10 each led wedge base bulbs. Should be a good deal! The 921 wedge is prob halogen.

Seems like this is not a "science"? I just saw this:
RV BULBS T15 (921) Clear Halogen Bag of 10 Pieces 12V Single Filament

NEW STOCK: MANUFACTURED AND TESTED TO TODAY'S HIGH STANDARDS AND SUPERIOR QUALITIES

FITS ALL BRANDS OF TRAVEL TRAILORS

BULBS ARE 12V 10W

The ones I received come in a box for an "auto" and are much smaller that what I have in the camper, and which have 12V 16W stamped on them. Are the LED's supposed to be newer and more expensive?

Leds can be 10 pk for $20 or $20 for one. Leds use far less power, which saves the battery off grid. Auto or rv both are 12v.

The box they came in has "T15 12V16W 100PCS" auto lamp bulbs on the side ... So they must be a smaller version of the 921 Halogen? I'm not at camper, but wondering if they will fit just like the larger 921 Halogen?

As it says on the line you put above"Halogen Bag of 10 Pieces"means that there are 10 bulbs in each X 4 =40. These bulbs being automotive is because your lights in your trailer run off 12v the same as a car. The size difference to me means that the many be a different bulb than the ones you ordered but if the socket that they fit into is the same they should work.
