Question Electric Awing

Has anyone had to replace a drive gear on the electric awing? The small gear that attaches to the rod that runs the length of the awing broke. It looks like an easy fix if I can get the gear with out having to replace the entire drive unit. Any info out there?

The only solution is to replace the drive motor at the tune of around $250.00 if you can do it your self. You can only get the replacement thru a dealer which means you pay the dealer mark up. What a deal !!!
