Electric Awning Problem/Question

Hello Group
I just broke cardinal rule...

#3 Thou shalt not leave campground with awning out

...and 20 minutes later a massive storm hit the area (it wasn't forecasted). I came back and it looked like the awning was completely twisted but in actually was lifted off track on one side and flipped up. I straightened things out and at the worst the support arm was strained/twisted but everything moves properly I just can't figure out how to get that arm back withing its track. I retracted the awning so that its held up with that pressure and one of the pins in track. How do I get both pins in track?

Thanks

Can you take a picture of where you're looking?

I just went and looked at mine and I think that I know what you're referencing. Do you have the adjustable pitch awning? The only way that I can see is to be able to separate the bar some how so you can connect it up. The only other thing that I can think of..... my awning has some a pair of nuts and bolts to stop the arm from moving up too far in the channel. If yours has that you can notch the channel above these stops, remove the stops, insert the bar then re-install the stops?

One thing I am disappointed with is the Carefree flatpitch awning. We have seen another rv'ers non-motorized side of the awning flip back over the roof. We helped him get the awning back in front of the curb side of tt, but didn't seem to have a 'pin in track' problem. While waiting for input/suggestions from members here with that experience, try giving Jayco a call. Also, maybe call Carefree direct? Good luck
