The Snap-up lever is used in the rare instance that you can't get quite enough rise using the tongue jack (electric or manual) to get the spring arms in the L-bracket on the trailer.

My storage place is slightly uneven and I usually need the bar for the low side, but that's that only time I've used it.

I second this suggestion.

I'm on my second Barker now. Had to replace my 1st Barker but not due to the 1st Barker giving out. I killed it, by forgetting the jack was down and then trying to pull away. Bent the jack post badly.

Barker can't design for owner stupidity.
