71iggy... Use your meter on the battery wires and see if the converter is charging.

OK, did full charge of battery overnight, did full checks of all fuses with my multimeter this morning, all ok. The converter is a WFCO. The 40 amp fuses I replaced were Cooper-Bussman ATC 40 fuses as I could not located the 257 fuses anywhere last night. I still think I am missing something as the circuit board where the 40 amp fuses were plugged in say "Battery Reversal" right on spot where they go so I technically should not have damaged anything else. Is there a fuse or shut off perhaps between the fuse holder by the battery and where the wiring goes up into the converter?

That shouldn't matter because your converter itself would be powering the DC buss.

Hopefully your WFCO looks like this
http://wfcoelectronics.com/wp-conten...ion-Manual.pdf
Unplug your shore power, take the cover off and check with your meter at the +battery lug for power.

If you were able to charge the battery over night, I can't see why you would have no +12v at the panel

OK, I got the manual from WFCO 8900 and did a diagnosis, got it running under AC power now. When I went to hook the battery back up, everything died again but did not blow any fuses. I unhooked it again and reset it again and have it working on AC again. I am not sure if I hooked up the battery wrong now, or if there is a converter issue? It seems to have the 13.6 volts it requires, so not sure yet again (LOL) Thank you all for your help.

The battery cable from the negative post goes to the trailer frame. The cable from the positive post goes to the converter. Check that yours is connected like that. If not, reverse the battery cable connectors.

Alright folks, I WIN!!!!! After downloading the manual for the converter and following the reset and fuse replacement procedures twice to get it right (LOL). I have 13.6 at the battery now and it is charging and running on AC, all good. Thank you so much everyone for all of your help!!! You are a great group and I have learned a lot! I wouldn't have figured it out without the converter manual either! Now time to get loaded to go south!!! Thanks again!!!

Let me see if I have this straight.
- everything was working before you accidentally hook the battery up in reverse
- after you replaced the reverse fuses you had no 12v power in the TT but you had power to the hitch
- the battery was able to charge over night, but you still have no 12v power in the trailer
- if you disconnect the battery and leave the shore power on you have 12v in the TT. (Is there still power at the jack?)
- if you reconnect the battery you lose the 12v in the trailer.

Hmmmmmm.. You have stumped me.

EDIT.... Posted at the same time.
Good work!!
What is the reset procedure?

Reset procedure, was to shut off main breaker, remove the Reverse Polarity fuses and test for continuity, unhook battery. Let main breaker sit for at least 1 minute. Test for voltage at positive and negative on the circuit board, must be 13.4. If it is 13.4, proceed to shut off the main breaker again, replace Reverse polarity fuses and reset main breaker and slowly put system under load ie: turn on lights, plug things in etc. Then retest the system for the 13.4 volts. If this is ok check the unhooked leads for your battery to test for voltage without load. If this is 13.4 as well you can hook up your battery again and test under load.
The first time I tested I was impatient and I don't think I waited long enough for the main breaker reset. Once I did it again, all good.

Oh you're way over there. I just assume everyone is from Southern Ontario.
Sounds like a good trip

Hitch Jack 12 volt stopped working

I have a 2016 Jayco 28RLS travel trailer
It came standard with a 12v power hitch jack
I fully extended it and it stopped working
I looked it up and it says it has an automatic re set fuse in built - there is no reset button on it
I do have power via a trailer battery and its also connected to my car.
All the 12v items in the trailer are working so i don’t think its a blown fuse in the main fuse box
Can you help me, offer some suggestions that i can check out, i am out of town in a national park

It seems they are all different but mine has a 30 amp fuse coming off the jack that I will blow if I raise the jack too high.

Thanks just found the fuse - not easy as it has a black wire coming from the jack - then it connects to a red wire - then to a green that leads to the fuse in a weird rubber moulding - its like they try to make it hard.....and of course no info on this in the owners manual as its what wire was in there tool box that day

You should have a small crank tool. There is a plug right on top of your jack. Sometimes if the jack is up too far you will have to crank it down just a bit or it will blow the fuse again.

Item E on your diagram is the resettable breaker.
