I'll take a look at my adapter (Ram provided with the truck) when I go to look at the receiver, but I don't recall seeing anything on that either.

Thanks Bob, sounds like a reasonable explanation. Love the Reese Titan shank, only problem is the darn things so heavy.

I doubt you'll find anything on your factory adapter. The only thing on mine is "Ford" stamped in.

Yup, nothing on the adapter.

Nothing on the receiver either. I looked the whole thing over front to back, side to side. The only thing on the receiver was a RAM part number tag that said "Class V Receiver" and listed a couple different part numbers and had a bar code. That's it.

I should've taken a picture of it, but even looking for it was an afterthought. I was working on my tonno cover, and while I was cleaning up, I figured I'd drop down there and take a look.
