Eternabond tape uses

We took the grandkids to Elisabeth Furnace campground for the weekend. It is a small place without water or electric at the sites but we enjoy there. Trout fishing is good and the kids love playing in the creek. They rode their bikes on many trails and had a great time. While jumping a rock on his bike as kids will, he hit pretty hard and caused a flat on his bike. I didn't have a patch kit but then I remembered the Eternabond tape I had left over from installing solar panels. After I took his tire off I found two holes in the tube, one on each side of the tube where it had hit. I cut a two inch strip of Eternabond and wrapped it around the tube and put it back in the tire. I always carry a Slime air compressor left over from my motorcycle days so I used it to air the tire back up. I was really surprised that it worked and held air! He rode this bike all day and the tire is still up and holding air. I can better understand how well it sticks on a roof. Happy Camping

Very creative and clever use of what you had. I will have to remember that in case we are ever without a spare tube.

I repaired a 2 inch cut in a white vinyl covered stool in my garage. 5 years later, it's still good.
