Finally settled on a replacement for my Koala 21CS

We had owned a Skyline Koala 21CS for 3 years. Decided to make a change. Finally sold it. Now, we've decided to get a 23RB as it's replacement.

We've actually had a refundable deposit on it for over a week. The refundable deposit acted as a "right of first refusal". They were still marketing it, but if someone wanted, the dealership would call us to see if we still wanted it.

In any event, today I'll call and set up a delivery date, sometime next week.

I'm excited right now. Will be the first brand new RV I've ever owned.

Great looking Camper - congratulations

Thanks. Can't wait (but I guess I'll have to) to get it. Scheduled to sign the papers, and do the pre-delivery inspection next Friday, the 23rd.

As mentioned, it's the first brand spanking new RV of any kind I've ever had. That alone is exciting. Of course, a couple of years ago, I never thought I'd be buying a "stick and tin" TT, either. But I have learned to embrace it.

Leading up to this point, I've read a lot of articles, and opinions on the internet, including various forums, including of course this Jayco Owners forum about stick and tin RVs, with all the pros and cons. I decided it was something I could like. My biggest trepidation concerning the aluminum skin is, of course, hail, and the occasional miss thrown football at football tailgates, which we do a lot of.

Even without a slide, the 23RB will have a feeling of spaciousness compared to my recently sold Koala 21CS. The 23RB is 3 feet longer, and 1/2 foot wider, even though the 21CS did have an 8 foot wide, 1.5 foot deep slide.

And unlike a lot of folks, from what I've read at least, I look forward to the dinette, in addition to the sofa.

Will do. Unfortunately, it'll be a week before we can pick it up. Will be a long week. And an empty driveway.
