first time buyer
Evening everybody. Wife and I finally decided to take the plung. After months of hunting for the perfect pre owned rv we located one in excellent condition.
We're suppose to take possession this thursday. Recieved a dissapointing call from the seller this morning informing me that he had accidentally cut the skin of the trailer while moving it. Having no experience with tt repairs, I was hoping that some here could let me know if this panel is a big deal to replace.

Welcome to the forum. I'll have to defer to other members to help you with the cut, haven't dealt with that yet. Good luck with your decision....

Depending on the damage, it may be a deal breaker. Or it may be a good negotiating opportunity. I would recommend taking having a local dealer evaluate it, and if the current owner performs the repairs under his insurance, make sure the work is performed by a qualified dealer, with warranty, etc, not by his cousin in the backyard!

Welcome to the forum....I would say that it should not be a big deal to have this repaired, have a dealer give you a quote and remove doubt of what it will cost to have it repaired and see what the owners feels about that.
It does not look that bad, but I know nothing about the cost to repair this. It would not be a deal breaker for me.

Not sure how you feel about the appearance but since it looks like the damage is cosmetic you could renegotiate the selling price and cover the hole with eternabond tape. The stuff lasts forever on the roof so on the side it should last twice as long.

Always think about resale, For me unless it was 10 years old it would be a deal breaker

Maybe the seller could have it repaired under his insurance and you'll still have a deal?

I would pass in its present condition. If the owner has it repaired properly I might reconsider.

That is exactly what happened today Stingray. It has all worked out. We were interested in this particular unit because it was one owner, never lived in and practically garage kept.
