First trip in the 314 BDS

Just got back from Maine with the camper. Had a few minor isues that I need to bring back to the dealer for repair! Found water under the bathroom sink that appears to have come in from the tub area. I noticed that they didnt caulk around the top of the shower wall and Im hoping that is the problem!

Errant water can be scary. Hope they figure it out and there's no resulting damage!

We had the same problem with water on the floor but it was after a shower. The curtain does not keep all the water from running on the floor we put a face cloth on the tub and against the shower wall this seams to stop the water problem. The tub surround is not caulked at the top and bottom of the wall to let any water that goes behind the wall out. Enjoy your 314 I love ours it's the greatest TT for a family.

I had that problem too and found an easy solution - put the nose of your trailer just below level, and any standing water will run back into the tub and not out.

The shower wall is a false wall that is only for looks, and isn't caulked at the top or bottom so that water can get out. There is a waterproof wall behind that that keeps the water where it is supposed to be.

Same thing happened to us last yearr with the 2011 314BDS -- Caulked the top of the tub and the problem was fixed. (Like I told you this weekend )

We had water leaking out of the access hole at the base of the shower. Tried tightening all the fittings, no luck. Caulked all around the shower stall...no more leaks. Never did determine exactly where it was coming from but it is no longer leaking.

I glued a vinly strip across the top of my bath tub's edge. This way the water that accumalates there can not drip onto the floor.
The tub extends several inches up under the surround wall. The surround wall is fastened in several places but left open on the top to allow water to evaperate if any should get in there.

I can understand not caulking the bottom of the shower wall but not the top. I'll let you all know how it works out!
