First Trip Out / Jayco Jensen Radio

We made our first voyage out in our Whitehawk this past Wednesday - Friday. The family was all off for spring break and we were determined to camp in this crazy NE Ohio weather. TT did very well, i was very surprised how easy it was to tow and manuever.
The TT is now back at the dealer for a few minor issues that need repaired. Nothing major, just little things that need fixed.

Here are two questions that have:

1 - When i back the TT up or make a sharp turn, i have noticed the wheels tend to flex out at an angle. i mentioned this to the service dept and they said this is normal. i would not know if it was or not since this is the first TT i have ever owned. i have towed them but never looked at everything so close like i do now.

2 - The Jesen Radio does not seem to want to cooperate with me. i have read the instructions that came with unit (it was only a small one page quick reference page).
I cannot get the clock to change off military time. my kids cant seem to grasp the concept so the entire trip was asking what time was it.
i am thinking i am missing the whole instruction package. just didnt know if anyone else ever experienced this.

lastly, i have to say that this forum has been so helpful. it answered many questions that i had prior to heading out the first time.
this is a great group of people and i hope i will be able to contribute some knowledge down the road.

Trailer wheels do flex a lot, especially when backing up. Sounds normal to me.

Here's a link to a Jensen Manual which may be the one in your trailer. If not, you can poke around on the Jensen site and maybe find the correct one.

Congrats on your maiden voyage! Agree with RVhiker, trailer wheels do flex a lot, the first time we backed in our trailer at a sharp angle I thought there was something horribly wrong, however if you straighten out the trailer you will see the wheels come right back in line.

The wheel flex is normal. Once I finally back in to my site I then pull forward and then straight back to get the wheels lined up straight. the Jensen radio does leave a lot to be desired.

I believe he whitehawks have wider spacing on the axles too, so tire and wheel flex will show even more.

We had factory RCA jacks running from the back of the Jensen stereo to the TV mounted over the fireplace. They were super cheapos and we swapped them out ASAP. Additionally, we wanted the TV audio to play in the ceiling speakers which are fed through the Jensen unit. A few more wire reconfigurations and tada....nearly surround sound. Just wish there was an HDMI out from the Jensen but no dice there. As a work around we added a BluRay player to the rig and run the audio to the Jensen and the HDMI to the flatscreen. Couldnt be happier with the install, al wires hidden, looks neat and tight. Of course I have 3 remotes now so the man cave is shaping up nicely.

We are wanting our tv audio on our 2014 WhiteHawk 30DSQB to play through the ceiling speakers as you have done....is there not an issue with the tv being 110V with the Jensen AVW965 system being 12V....would appreciate knowing how this was accomplished so I don't blow up or tear something up....Thanks.
