Lightbulb Fish Cleaning Station

While camping at Bull Shoals White River State Park in Arkansas last weekend i caught some nice rainbow trout . I decided i need a fish cleaning station and want to know if anyone had build one or had ideas. I am thinking of building something to fit between the slides since that's where my outdoor shower is. It needs to be light and portable so i can store it inside when traveling.

hmmmm... i would think a custom made thing would be in order... i do a lot of salt water fishing and for our coastal place we are working on, we are going to have a counter bent (or broken, however you like) of stainless steel, with a 5 gallon bucket hole, and a few HPDE cutting boards, bolted to the top... give yourself a good over the top style faucet, and a garden hose style spray nozzle or two. good drains, or drain catches...

i use a ironing board. it stands up tall and folds down nice and compact. i also attached a clip board at one end to help hold the tails when skinning.

Whatever you come up with must be very cleanable. I would not want the smell of a fishy cutting board in the storage.

Idea

I think i will buy this: http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/ite...5219&catid=705

I can cut off the edges and re-attache to form a backslash then attach some folding legs (maybe the ironing board idea), cut a hole and a bracket to hold a 5 gallon bucket. Bolt on a piece of threaded rod to hold the outdoor shower head and another one sharpened to a point to skewer the tail to hold the fish it in place. I could cut a slot to hold the knives.

Hubby wants to make a fish cleaning station also.....and totally LOVE the idea of an Ironing Board for a cleaning station....it's portable, height adjustable and can easily be stored in our shed (we are in a seasonal campground) after it's been cleaned/dried!

Great idea....

Get one of those molded plastic tables that fold in half and have adjustable legs and attach a clipboard at one end (if needed). In one half, cut a 6-8" hole out so you can put a garbage can or bucket under it. Set your table up next to the campground water spigot or your outdoor shower area.

I like the coldcreek version since it has the bowl built in and no spigot to take off. Having a place to keep the fish from sliding off is a key component IMHO.

Amazon has it for $69.00 with FS Pretty good deal.
