fixed my furnace

Finally figured out why my furnace took several tries to kick on. Been happening a while on and off, I would hear the furnace kick on for maybe 10-15 seconds and kick off without lighting.

I looked at the intake and exhaust, all clear. Looked at all the floor vents, clear, propane on and full. check.

Finally pulled the furnace out and everything looked good, but stuck my hand in the floor where where the duct starts and a piece of the tape for the vents had partially blocked the opening and was tripping the limit switch.

Even though we are in Phoenix now it still gets chilly in the a.m.

This has been going on for maybe a year on and off as the tape changed positions.

This is a good heads-up post, thanks for the follow-up.

May be a good thread for the "Jayco Problems and Issues" forum....., could be an issue for any model Jayco.

Thanks,

glad it's fixed it was so intermittent it was hard to track down. I REALLY hate paying someone else to fix my stuff but this was driving me nuts!! I didn't think it was a supply problem, but for HVAC you need so many tools and gauges I don't have. Was ready to call someone but... I couldn't do it without checking everything I could. The piece of tape was blocking maybe 25% of the duct and could only be found by sticking my hand in the duct blind.

Going to CO at the end of April so thought I better fix it now haha.
