Fresh Water Hose Connection Size?

We purchased the 29L but have it in storage until warmer weather. I am in the process of purchasing necessities for it. I want to purchase a fresh water hose but don't recall (and the manual doesn't indicate) what size threads the fresh water hose connection is.

I don't know if it is a standard size, but I 'think' it is a 1/2". I see that Amazon sells a 1/2" and a 5/8" fresh water hose. Would anyone know for sure so I don't have to make a special trip to find out?

The 1/2" and 5/8" should be the inside diameter of the hose, either one will work, 5/8 would be better. The threads for both hoses should be standard garden hose threads.

Be sure to get a pressure regulator and inline filter too. The filter is just good insurance. A friend was camping at the beach when a sand surge came though the CG freshwater system, fortunately they had a filter to stop it from entering the trailer water system. Not everyone so fortunate.

Go to a big box store and get a whole house filter and garden hose fittings. Cheaper than buying and replacing the inlines.

X2. You probably need a sediment filter and a charcoal filter.

I use a 5/8" fresh water hose, but 1/2" will work fine. The lines in your camper are probably 1/2", so the larger supply hose is overkill.

I made a combo water filter/regulator 10+ years ago from parts purchased from a local big box hardware store. It's still going strong. See picture below.

Drfife, looks like its time to change your filter maybe? I don't do the filter thing so I'm not aware if they're suppose to look like that. What I did notice was your system for a steadying the trailer. I would like to know how well it works. It looks similar to the fifth wheel design. Is this a store bought unit or did you make it up? Do you have one on the other end as well? Thanks in advance

5arnolds, I just wanted to suggest getting a bronze line hose for your trailer. I could always taste the plastic liner in the white hose when it sat in the sun. Valterra makes this hose for mobile homes I think. Anyway we have used it for years. It can stand high pressure and coils up easily. When I'm camping people ask me about it and I'm surprised more people don't use them.

The filter is charcoal, it's supposed to be black.

The arms you see are modified Wayne's RV Stabilizers. I removed the arms from a stock Wayne's RV Stabilizer and added a couple of brackets to my trailer frame to hold them. They now remove with clip pins. You stabilize the trailer using the cargo tie downs. The ones that come with Wayne's are too short for my customized system, so I used one I had on hand that was longer. I wanted a wider stance to further improve stability. They really work well and are cheap. You could make your own. Some of the guys in my camping group made their own off the design.

One thing I would suggest is a 90* ell to attach to TT water inlet. It takes the stress off hose at inlet and prevents crimping. Can be picked up at Walmart

Garden hose.... but dont use one of those they will add taste to the water.. get a white one made for drinking water....WallyWorld usually has them (cheapies) and Camping world has better ones (more expensive)

I bought a 50 ft hose at first and was always fighting with it (I empty hose after each use). I replaced with 2- 25ft hoses. Very seldom use 2nd hose.
x2 on garden hose.
