Fresh water tank

How can the city water connection fill the tanks as my manual says when there is a check valve between the tanks and pump?

Welcome to the JOF.

It might vary between vehicles. I can't fill my tanks from the city water connection. What unit do you have?

I do not know your particular unit. Typically there is two different methods depending on model.

Many TT's have a gravity full port. Unscrew the cap shove the hose in and fill. Usually there is a sticker that says gravity fill. This fill, might not be near the city water connection. Usually it is near the axles, as the FW tank is often under the floor above the axles.

Another potential method is at your city water connection, you will have a series of potentially confusing valves, you have to turn a few to fill the tank. If you do not have noticeable valves at the city water connection, then there is a gravity fill port.

I figured the manual was wrong. How could a city connect tion fill the tanks. I do need t see any tank bypass, the tank would just continue to overflow.
