Furnace only running with gas
Hello, I recently de-winterized my 2007 27BH after doing this is started up the furnace and I noticed that when I try to use the just the electrical option it shuts off. If I use the gas option it runs perfectly fine. I do have 30amp outlet available at my house and I am using it.
Does anyone have any advice on troubleshooting this?
Thanks in advanced
DB

Furnace only running with gas
Can you clarify? I am not familiar with an electric furnace on that model. Sounds like you are talking about the water heater??

Are you talking about the furnace or the water heater? IF you're talking about the water heater, then you'll really only hear it on gas. If it's on electric then you won't hear it.

Are you sure it runs on both? On my 2006 27bh it only runs on gas.

Does your furnace have one of those electric heating elements on it so you can use it like an electric space heater? I've seen those devices that you can add to the furnace plenum and they look like an electric clothes dryer heating element.

If you are seeing "gas/elec" heat on the thermostat someone removed the white tag coving up the word elec. That option is on the thermostat in case you install the heat strip in the air-conditioner. Usually if you decide to do that you will also have to run another wire unless JAYCO is now pre-wiring since it may be an option on your trailer.

Sorry, yes I mean the water heater. I can only hear it start up and run on gas. If I use electric it shuts off or seems to shut off that is.

I would make sure that it has water in it and plug it in and let it stay a while. After a couple of hours see if it is hot. If it is, your done. If not, check the fuses first.

Yep , your not going to hear anything on electric. I keep mine on electric until bath time then I have both gas and electric on to produce hot water faster.
