Gardiner NY Jellystone

We stayed at Jellystone in Gardiner NY this past Holiday weekend. Stayed before but this is the first time since new water park put in. The campground is clean and nice. The water park can get a bit crowded. Decent activities for the kids. They need more room for campers arriving for check in and exiting at check out. We were in the new section on the hill really good size sites and no trees, witch is both good and bad. Good for the really bad storm we had first day there. Nothing to fall and hit camper. Bad when it got hot and sun was out it was hot. See pictures of site. This was the day we were leaving so had it packed up.

We have been there twice this season already - Once the water park was closed for some undisclosed reason and the second time we found out that the park is open to anyone who wants to use it not just campers.

It was a turn off to us because it caused a large portion of the overcrowding you mentioned. Not sure if we will be going back yet or not.

Yea you are right they do open it to the public. That I feel is unfair to paying campers who book a weekend and it gets over crowded. Should not be allowed. Bad enough you have campers or seasonal bringing in there entire family. Saw one over the weekend must have been 30 people taking 4 tables and had extra chairs, was a bit crazy

This still is a very nice campground, don't let this stop you from visiting. I would go back. I like watching all the parachutes jumping out of the plane. It is a clean nice place to stay

We are actually going back the weekend of the 22nd of this month. My daughter loves the water park and I agree it is a very nice place...
