Good things come to those who wait?

If any of you read my previous thread "Jayco Major Fail", you know of the issues we had in just getting our trailer built, how the serious build delays were going to affect reservations in Florida we had made months in advance, and even our dealer offering to tow the trailer to Florida.

So the plan was to leave for Florida with a different trailer back on October 18th and our dealer (Terrytown RV) was going to graciously delivery our new trailer to us in Florida when it came in. But of course, just as we done moving into the temp trailer, and finalizing everything for our trip, things yet again changed just days before departure.

A sudden death in the family dictated that we postpone our trip by at least a couple of weeks. It was really starting to feel like we just were not meant to make this trip, but little did we know at that time that there might be a different reason!?! Anyway, we called the campground where our reservations were, and they were very understanding about our situation and offered to move our reservation back a couple of weeks, which we agreed to.

Then later that same day, out of the blue, we got "the call". Our new 330RSTS had just arrived and would be ready to go a few days later. They had no idea we were still home, and long story short, we picked up our new 330RSTS yesterday!

So now being just 5 days from our new departure date, we are scrambling to move out of the other trailer and into our new one with our maiden voyage in the new trailer being a 1500 mile trip to Florida!

Not sure how I feel about that, but no one can say our trip so far, and probably what is yet to come, isn't an "adventure". All I know is I can already hear that hammock in Florida calling my name.

Things have a way of working out somethimes.

Congrats on the new rig. That is a long one. Travel safe. Don't forget to check your tires and lugnuts along the way.

I notice that the kitchen island design is very similar to our 355. We really like it.

Congratulations and be safe.

FYI... Due to Hurricane Matthew you may find some campgrounds etc. closed. I found that Manatee Hammock Campground will be closed until further notice due to Hurricane Matthew. There may be other issues along the coast between MI and your destination.

Installed a TST507 system (along with metal valve stems) and have my crossbar lug wrench already packed!

Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely make a few calls prior to departing each day just to make sure. We travel 75 going south so not sure it will be an issue though.

One of the best things my mom always told me was that "Everything always happens for a reason". I often questioned it when rapid fire crap was being thrown my way but in the end I always ended up hearing her in my head and realized she was right.

Glad it all worked out for you...
