Gravity Roof Vents

Use is Spring, Summer and Fall. Sometimes the furnace is on, some times not. The Trailer is permanently set up, never moves. The 2 roof vents have MaxAir covers on them, so it doesn't rain in.

What is the consensus? Roof vents open all the time, only open when trailer is occupied, not open in the cold weather, etc, etc.

Never close mine until it is put in storage . If heater is going it creates less chance of carbon monoxide remaining in the trailer ,with the a/c it allows for condensation to escape. When not in use .. good circulation all around. Remember most of the time trailers are more air tight than your home due to their size . Always a good idea to ventilate even if these are not valid reasons

I leave mine open all the time. It is also covered by a Max Air vent cover.

Our use is pretty close to Nite's except we close the vent when camping when it's hot/humid as there is quite a bit of condensation on the ceiling where the A/C ducting runs. I'd probably close in really cold weather to preserve some of the warm air we manufacture. Outside that the vent is open (in storage too).
