Have to wish everyone Adios

We traded in the TT today to get a new boat. Such a bitter sweet day. Will really miss the camper, but we have 6 kids, with 2 in high school and it is just about impossible to find weekends to get away. With the boat and our proximity to the lake, it'l be easy to go out for the day or an afternoon.

Still plan on fulltiming after the kids grow up and leave the nest, but that's a long way off. Wanted to thank everyone here for the fun and conversations.

Selling the ProPride hitch and the brake controller in the "for sale" forums here if anyone is intereted - the hitch really IS that good.

Thanks!

A change is good and given your situation it sounds like a good trade off. We were boating for 35 years with great memories of good times and decided to try something different so we bought our first travel trailer and are now making new memories. Enjoy your new adventures.

Sorrry to see you sell the trailer, but you may be back someday. Remember what the word boat stands for:

Break
Out
Another
Thousand ($)

I know, I`ve got two of em!

Please continue to hang around the forum if you like. -Lee

Just because you no longer have a camper doesn't mean you have to leave the forum ! Please visit occasionally and let us know how things are going. And we'd like to see a photo or two of your new ride, too. Enjoy !

You will be missed. You are one of the few here that had a TT like mine. Stop by now and then. Enjoy the boat, I had one but sold it to buy the TT. Funny how things go. Like to see a pic of the boat. Good luck and enjoy it!

Sorry to see you go. Drop by and stay up on camping. BTW, you will have another bitter sweet day when you sell the boat.

Good luck and visit us still!. ^ thats funny Kracker cause I too sold off my McKee Craft boat to buy our TT. I found we (the fam) have used the TT and made alot of memories camping than the few times we took the boat out. Good times on both ends but was always thinking about the dreaded "no start" issues I had while out on the water. And yes, B.O.A.T is right for sure.

Thats exactly what an old friend of mine said. However he owned a boat built in 1934, and when he retired actually took it from the finger lakes (seneca lake) to south africa.

No need to dump the TT just to add a boat other than maybe $$'s. The TT comes in pretty handy at the lake for the overnight or long weekends. Many find a cheap place to rent a pad for the season and just leave the TT sitting there for your occasional visit with the boat.

We just got home Sat after spending 12 days out on our houseboat. Use the Jayco when we travel to camp with the grands. Had 3 of them out with us on the boat last week. But I may have failed to mention that we are retired and all we have to do is decide when and where we were going to relax [the farm, the hboat, or the TT]. Retired now for 8 years and loving every minute of it.

Enjoy the new boat but don't sell the hitch and controller. You might just find a TT behind you again.
