Have you built a deck off your tt?

Hi there I am looking for ideas on how to build a deck off my tt on a seasonal site. I have searched online and am coming up empty handed I was wondering if anyone can share some pics and some tips on building a deck on a seasonal site.

If I can figure how to load pics we'd share our pics. We built a floating deck for our seasonal site. Framed 4x8 sections, leveled one section at a time with cap blocks, carriage bolted them together and then laid the planks (all treated lumber & stained it). We have our gas grille, table & chairs, plus another area with andirondack chairs. Great way to realax on weekends.

Hello, At our campground most people just build it on the ground. We also pulled the trailer in then screwed and extra board in between the trailer and the deck from underneath so no little kids would fall through. As Jagiven said if you want to move it you WILL need friends! lol We did this with out old Dutchman and our new Jayco. See pics.

A few tips:
- Build deck's under frame in opposite direction (compared to normal deck layout). Thus, upper deck boards at 9.5 ft out.
- Build deck frame in sections (each section:9.5 ft out by 5.5 ft wide). Bolt together using horizontal bolts. Thus, allowing each deck section to be separated and slid into a 10ft by 6ft trailer - to transport to a different location.
- Stairs and rails are built (secured) in a method to be removed in sections as well.
- Create cut-out deck for TT tires. Thus, allow deck sections to slide further under the TT.
- To stop stuff from sliding off the deck (under the trailer), install an end cap. re: http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...e/IMG_0108.jpg
- If deck on a low slop hill (like my combo), connect deck to TT's frame as well. re: See above URL.

Note: For surface deck boards, don't screw down directly beside each other. Always leave 1/8" gap - to allow rain water past the board's gaps.

Yes.....the lower space is for storage. Next trip to the camp I may close in 2 sides of the compartment so it's not so wide open. I like a tidy site. May leave the upper railing open as I like to see the surrounding area....not sure on that yet. This a really nice, sturdy landing for the main door with very stable steps. It's only 40" x 9', but leads down to a 10' x 12' ground level deck where we normally sit.
