Hello First trailer ever. Advise on roof ac fan please

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and just picked up my 2015 jayflight 24fbs a week ago and already have a question. My AC roof mounted fan function worked off battery and propane when I first tried it but now it only works when I plug the rv in to my house. I'm thinking it may be a simple problem? Maybe just a rookie mistake?

Check for a switch inside your trailer. My fireplace and hot water tank can not be used at the same time. There is a switch that I need to use to select one. Could be the same for your unit

Thank you for the quick reply. I checked the fuse panel everything seems to be fine. The only switches I have is one for the bathroom lights one for the extirior lights and one for the living area lights. The fan function is operated from the thermostat

I am assuming your "AC" reference is "air conditioner".

The air condition fan nor compressor will run from the battery. The air conditioner, fan include, requires 120V. Propane is not used at all.

Ok so basically the only way to cool down the trailer off grid is with a generator? What size generator do I need for a good 120v source.

That is correct.
I use a pair of Honda EU2000i in parallel. Some use the Yamaha 2400 with success. Unless you are FAR AWAY from other campers you do not want to get a construction grade (non-inverter) generator.
