Help!
I am new to the rv world and am looking to get a new travel trailer, but before taking the plunge I want to make sure I going to be fine with the setup.
I have a 2012 Ford Expedition 4x2 with the upgraded tow package as my tow vehicle. I believe my max tongue weight is 920lbs and my max tow weight is 9200.
I have found and fell in love with a new 2013 Jayco Feather Ultra Lite 23M. The Unloaded weight is 4645, dry hitch weight of 635lbs and a GVWR of 6500.
Thanks all in advance for the help!

From what you share it sounds good -- that is unless you then say that you are going to have 6 adults in the SUV too. You have probably done some reading and know this, but the limiting factor will likely be your SUV's cargo capacity weight rating. This is the total of all the weight in the SUV and includes the TT tongue weight + WD hitch. As long as you don't fill the SUV with tons a people and stuff you should be good to go. The Cargo Carrying Capacity can be found on the drivers door jam. Sticker is usually yellow.

Hey Dey,
We pulled our first TT (an X23B) with our 02 Expedition (5.4L) 2x4. Our Rear GAWR was 4128#, the CAT scale said our rear axle had 3100# on it unloaded and our tongue weight was 600#. With just the Bride an myself we were good on the weight, when we added another couple we were probably a little north of the GAWR in the back.
Our max tow weight was 8950# and a properly balanced TT could have had 1300# on the hitch which would have put us well north of the rear GAWR.
You could load up the family truckster and for $10 the CAT will tell you what the rear axle is carrying now which will give you an idea of what the max hitch weight would be.

Looks fine, load it up and take it for a spin to find out if your comfortable. Seems like every TV/TT combo is a little different.

Take Redhorse's advice and stop at a CAT scale with your full load, fuel and all, just so you'll know exactly what your setup is. You'll feel the load but as we've had four Expys I think you'll do just fine if your WD hitch is set up properly.

+1. All evidence so far says you'll be okay, but still, better to know than to guess.
