Help! Bathroom door is locked from inside.. How to open??

After weeks of camping, somehow the bathroom door got locked and of course no one is on the inside. I can take the outside handle off, but what happens if I push the bathroom side knob in? Will I be able to side the latch? Or is there a better way? Thank you!

You can probably open it with a jewelry screwdriver. You would use a flat head screwdriver and fit it in the hole in the outside knob. A little fiddling around with it and you should be able to line up the screwdriver and screw to unlock the door. You can find this screwdriver at just about any hardware store and they usually come in a set with like 3 different flat heads and 3 different phillps head.

We do have a flat headed screwdriver that fits in the hole.. Just tired, I can feel it spinning either way but the door is still locked. With being able to remove the handle from the kitchen Side, can I just pop the bathroom side handle in and slide the latch? I hate to do that without knowing what'll happen.. Lol!!

Close the thread: problem solved. With some choice words, was able to jimmy the latch out after popping the other handle through. Not sure way the deal is. Camper is nearly level, maybe it's just enough off to put pressure on the latch...

Thanks for the help!!

Glad you got it fixed. If this is the rented unit you should not be held responsible if there was damage because there is a tool that comes with the TT for exactly this. If the rental agency didn't provide it they should have IMO. It looks like a wire about the size of a coat hanger the is flattened on one end and a hook on the other. The entire tool is roughly 3" long.

We just went through this yesterday with my 2yr old niece. I had the tool but it took some serious searching to find it. A permanent location has now been identified

Glad you worked it out. Not sure about that camper, but the door hinges for my bathroom door are on the outside so worse case scenario I could just knock the pins out of the door hinges and remove the door.

We actually looked at popping the door hinges as an option but they appeared to be one solid unit.

I was able to stick a screwdriver on the door handle hole and twist, but nothing happened. I'm thinking it was pressure in the latch.
