Help! I dropped the bottle holding blue stuff right in the holding tank..any ideas? I disconnected the pvc and emptied into a bucket..(pretty clean there) but it didn't come out..should I just leave it here? HELP!

Yes..disconnect pvc from trailer and let it drain in a bucket

Fill black tank up with water and see if bottle will float around on top. Hold toilet Valve open , water turned off, and see if you can see it. Coat hanger!
Or rod you use to pull down your awning.....

one of those pincher arm things used to pick things up from the floor.

I would not leave it in there if at all possible

Lid off..can't see it..used coat hanger and awning thingy too, just thought about that black tank flush thing...but have no clue how to use it so gonna read the book...

How big is bottle? I'm guessing it's too big to come out the tank drain. Lots of 90* elbows in pipe... Won't make the turn.

You are probably gong to have to get it out the same way it went in...

Its the little bottle 8oz..arm in plastic bag and feel around for it is another thought...uugh!

Holding tank is pretty big in size 4x4, perhaps.... You are gong to need long wire that can be moved around to bottom surface of the tank and reach into corners that you can't see from hole in toilet.

Think plumbers snake that can be extended and manipulated in diffrent directions

An electricians fish tape ( has hook on end ) could be an option as well

Try draining tank again so that it's completely empty. Get right tool, and start fishing around.

Maybe dealer time.

I can't get my arm down the toilet and into my holding tank..... It's several feet to what would be the top of the water line if it was full. The tank is another foot deep.

I have a thought. drain and flush the tank completely to get all the good stuff out. Then get a wad of gorilla tape and make sure it is stuck completely to a rod of some type. Then work it around in the empty tank. If you can get it on the bottle it will certainly stick and you will be able to pull it out. Hopefully. Oh well, I was in charge of mid-night reconnoitering in the Marines in Viet Nam. Came up with some brilliant ideas over there! LOL

If you drain the tank then refill it should float if the lid was off when you dropped it in.

The next time you are in a campground with a sewer hookup I would block the side with the awning and door. Put it up 6 or 8 inches from level. Use a garden hose and fill the tank. Hold the sewer hose up slightly so you can see what is coming out and drain it. If the bottle is small enough to pass through the hose it should come out.

If the lid is off the bottle it has possibly sunk to the bottom. If it is floating the chances of it floating right below the toilet where you could see it would be slim to none.

Glad you were able to get that out....you don't want to leave anything in your tank that could "hold-up the exit line" out on a camping trip.
